Dr. Parth Shah graduated from Stony Brook University in 2015 and initially decided to pursue a profession in medicine by enrolling in Rowan University's School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM). During his clinical rotations in the third year of medical school, Parth became enamored with the hands-on holistic approach employed by physical therapists. What drew him to the physical therapy profession was the role that the physical therapist played in providing a comprehensive continuum of care throughout a patient's rehabilitative process - from engaging in discussion with other medical professionals in various fields to ensuring patient and/or family goals are considered when developing a suitable plan of care. With that in mind, Parth left RowanSOM in 2018 and enrolled in the College of Staten Island's Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program the following year. He earned his doctoral degree in physical therapy and joined the TLC team in 2022. He plans on earning his Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) certification and being involved in an academic and research capacity with an accredited DPT program in the future.
